How to stay motivated

To keep growing in our respective fields we must stay motivated. Motivation must come from inside. It lasts for longer time than outside motivation. Our body has its own system to fight against diseases. But, sometimes we need medicine. Like this motivational speakers are the outer source of motivation. I used to see following YouTube channels. You might have seen also.

1- Sandeep Maheswari

2- Dr Vivek Bindra

3- Aman Dhattarwal

4- Amrut Deshmukh (The Booklet Guy)

5- Chetan Bhagat

6- Dr Ujjwal Patni

7- Rahul Bhatnagar

8- Abhi and Niyu

9- Harshvardhan Jain

10- TEDx Talks

There are many more speakers on YouTube. Share your source of motivation in the comments section so that others also get benefited.

Bird watching and Sanctuary visit

 Dt-23/12/2021

Today Wildlife Institute of India organized a bird watching and identification of visiting birds to Hirakud dam.  It's aim was to create interest in biodiversity assessment research among post graduate students. I participated in the programme along with my friends. Four interns from Wildlife Institute were first introduced us about bird watching. They are expert in their respective fields (flora, fauna, insects, reptiles). They shared their experiences of working in wildlife projects. They explained how some species work as environmental indicators, how birds migrate from one place to another(feeding and breeding), how some species migrate away from places with high human activities, how can we evaluate environmental condition of a particular area and mitigate the condition for proper functioning of the ecosystem. We discussed how dams and barrages are important for us.

Then we went to Debrigarh wildlife sanctuary. This is the first time I visited a wildlife sanctuary. First they took us to visitors' orientation centre. There we watched some videos about the sanctuary and at last a video on rules and regulations of the sanctuary. Then we went for a jungle walk. They divided us into three groups. In our group, we were 14 students, a guide assisted by two rangers.

Our guide is working on butterflies. He explained about the butteeflies we saw and how butterflies work as an environmental indicator. Their colours help them to dodge their predators. He described how wild animals counting is done. We saw poop of many wild animals.

Poop of hyena (pen or coin is used to know size)
We walked 4-5 km and reached nature camp where visitors reside. Here boating facilities are available. After spending some time we returned to the main gate by bus. Our group has not encountered with any wild animal. We spent about three hours in jungle. We have not entered deep into the forest as we have limited time. However we got to know about many things. I memorized a line shown in an orientation video,  "Leave your footprints and go with memories ".

Examination Fear

Today's experience at examination hall :

My midterm examination is going on. Today I was having my developmental biology paper. I reached exam hall just before it started. I found everybody sitting in their respective places. I took my seat and filled my credentials in answer sheet. Then we got questions. I felt like I knew nothing. I watched the questions for about ten minutes. I was not getting response from the brain. Scientific words were disappeared from my mind. However I started writing like hitting around the bush. Unnecessary thoughts about the result day were distracting me to concentrate on the paper. The exam ended like a bad dream. After exam I discussed some questions and found wrong. I felt guilty and came back to room. I have done my part and now I have to be ready to hear from the teacher. I have to balance myself. So I started to recall some good thoughts. There is a saying "this too shall pass". It helped me to get rid of the situation for some time. Sorrow decreases when it is shared with others. But it will take some more time to heal myself.

I think it is a common psychological behavior and shown by all at certain time. We can minimize its expression but it's difficult to fully suppress it.

Observable symptoms :

- Sweating

- Increased heart beat

- Nervousness

- Vibration in the body

Reading thoroughly everything just before the exam leads to a mixture of everything in the mind. Lack of proper preparation is a major cause behind it. It get worsen by overthinking about results during the exam. It is easy to come in a rank. But it is difficult to be consistent in that position.

In my childhood, I used to worry about good marks. After 12th, I tried to cross the 50% marks. And now in PG, I bother only about passing the exams. However I am still struggling to improve.

And inviting you all to the comment box, share how you cope with the exam fear.

The Realities of Being an Entrepreneur

I feel I am seeing a set of dreamers who have urge to do something for the society.

Entrepreneurship is not for weak hearted. You need to give up many things to being an entrepreneur. Great entrepreneurs give up great jobs.

Some questions you must ask yourself before choosing this path:

a) What you want to disrupt ?

b) Why you want to disrupt?

c) Why you are the right person for this?

To be an entrepreneur you need to be a team player. You have to unite a team of finance, governance, salesperson, etc. You need a capital to jump in to the market. Your consumer base should be defined.

Entrepreneurs are driven by passion. They learn always and try to implement ideas in their company. They have faced many obstacles and their ideas failed many times. But these obstacles play the role of barriers. If there's no barrier, then it's easy to copy an idea and implement it to make money.

Money is the outcome of the product or service. Entrepreneurs' sole aim is not just running behind the money. If you have a burning desire to be an entrepreneur, then find a gap and then address the gap. There is no full proof procedure to become an entrepreneur. You have to make your own path and go on.

Wishing you all the best

Stock Chit Chat

Stock of the day - Dt:04/06/2021

Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd.

Symbol : IBULFSGFIN

This is today's graph. This is one of my best stock. I was having 50 shares that I sold at 226₹ previous friday. And I was happy. But what happened today was beyond my imagination. If I waited for another week then I would have earned a good return.
However, I don't want to take risk. I measured the market overvalued as its graph is increasing amid this second wave of pandemic.

Just see the difference:
Today's low-   227.75
Today's high- 272.75
Generally stocks decrease on friday. But this stock performed extraordinarily. I had placed sell order at 245₹ at about 2.40pm. It was at its day high at that time.
And just after few minutes I saw it as only buyers. But still I was hoping that it will come down. Instead of coming down, it breaks upper circuit twice which happens very rarely. My heart beat rate was increasing. I was not able to exit my position as time crossed 3.20pm. For that I have to pay 59₹ extra charge. However, my position was exited with the loss of 905₹.
I am not an expert in stock market. But I am following this stock for more than a year. And my advice is whenever you get this stock near 200₹, buy it. You will get a very good return in long term.

Wise use of words

I had participated in an online competition organized by EG Pathshala. The competition was named as 'Wise use of words'.

Rules :

- Write three sentences on COVID-19 using words starting with "C"

- Words should not be repeated

It's result declared today. I got second position in this event. And I am very much glad to share what I had framed for this event.

1- Continuity in cold and cough are clue to COVID, compromising which can create casualty.

2- Choose or cultivate culture crucial to counteract COVID crisis and cease its compounding at any cost.

3- Be confident and courageous in this combat, rather than confusing, contribute to your community like a caring citizen with courtesy.

Is COVID really out of control ?

The fight against COVID-19 is not over yet. It is becoming more dangerous with time. It is breaking its spreading record very fast. Death toll is rising daily. Researchers all over the world are trying to control it. Another chapter added to emerging health risks.

In future, it will be studied as one of the biggest conspiracy.

Challenges

1- Mutated strains are spreading faster and infecting to all age groups.

2- It is not feasible to test everyone on a daily basis.

3- Although there are many questions on vaccines, it can't be made available to all (time taking process).

4- Lack of drugs and beds in hospitals.

5- It is fatal for people with comorbidities.

6- Weekend shutdowns are ultimately leading to crowd in markets on previous day.

7- Again our economy is injured.

To Do

1- Follow all precautionary measures.

2- Focus on diet rather than taking vitamin supplements (drink sufficient water, eat vitamin B,C rich fruits and vegetables)

3- Do light breathing exercises

4- Share positive vibes in your circle

This article will helpful to you👇

"What to do during lockdown "

Points to Remember

1- Don't forward messages from unknown sources.

2- Even if you are at home, ensure about circulation of air inside your room.

3- If you find any symptoms of COVID-19, isolate yourself.

4- Don't be panic, be conscious.

Plus point is that our immune system is quite more efficient as we survived with the virus for more than a year. Although we don't know when the situation will improve, atleast we can do what is in our hand. We are physically distanced but socially connected. Let's hope for the best.

Teachers' Day

Happy teachers' day💐💐💐

We celebrate teachers' day on 5th of September, birthday of our second President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan since 1962.

He believed that "teachers should be the best minds in the country".

In our lifetime we get many teachers at different phases. But mother is considered as first teacher.

Teachers are compared to mother, father and friend also. They maintain the roles according to the need. They introduce us to the world of knowledge. Sometimes they beat also to bring us on the right track. A good teacher is always happy if his students perform better than him. Our ancient culture is adulterated due to invasions. Education system is destroyed. And student-teacher relationship got weakened with time.

Whatever we learn from anyone, if we respect him it will save us from ego. Although a primary school teacher can't help in higher studies, but he can help in personal life. He can share his life journey. In the long run, experience works. And time is short to experience every failure. That's why it is said to learn from failures of others.

Let's Mentor

I have observed that attention is directly proportional to quality and vice versa. And attention is inversely proportional to number of gainers. If you read this article up to this, then I think you are a keen reader. You can mentor your juniors so that they can transform their lives. Share what will you do if someone take you to the age of him/her. If you think you didn't get proper values at certain stages, you can add that. Contact them regularly and ask if they need any help. Be the progress tracker.

Ganesh Chaturthi

 Today we celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ganesha is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. He is also known as 'Vighnaharta'(remover of obstacles). Lord Ganesha is worshipped first before starting any work.

I made a sketch of Lord Ganesha watching on YouTube. I felt very happy after making it. Then I edited by own.

Due to COVID-19 we didn't celebrate this year in crowd, but we prayed in our homes.

Mumbai's famous Lalbaughcha Raja's Pandal converted into blood donation and plasma donation camps.

Several community puja organisers in Kolkata switched to the digital mode, so that devotees can observe the rituals from home.

I think import of statues may have decreased due to the pandemic. This may be a good news. But our local potters are the real sufferers. We should help them.

May Lord Ganesha bless you and your family with peace and happiness.

Independence Day 2020

Today we celebrated our 74th Independence day maintaining COVID-19 guidelines. One year ago nobody thought of such situation. I hope situation will be better on our platinum jubilee celebration. However, we showed patriotism on digital platforms.

Let's go to past.
Before British invasion ,our country was self-reliant. Our country(Sone ki Chidiya) used to export only. It attracted people from all over the world. It included invaders also. Our motherland lost enormous amount of wealth due to these invasions.
But we suffered the British rule for longer time. It destroyed our self-sustained systems of Education,Agriculture,Business, etc. I don't believe that these losses can be recovered.
However after Independence our country emerged as the largest democratic country. A lot of sacrifices were done. We can't forget our freedom fighters. Today we are able to celebrate due to them only.

Friends, we all can't go to boarder and fight to serve our nation. We should support our nation from within. In my opinion it is time to promote our local products. Today world is at our fingertip. So, before going to purchase anything, please see it in google.

Let's join hands.
Promote indigenous industry/products by heart.
Share your valuable ideas.

International Day of Yoga

If we are not doing yoga, this is the best day to pledge to do yoga. Nobody has time. But if we stay determined, we manage time. It is difficult to continue good habits contrary to bad habits.

In this material world physical fitness is not enough, mental fitness is required to live a happy life. Self satisfaction can be achieved by practising yoga. It is necessary to talk to self once a day. Meditation(comes under yoga) optimizes our productivity.

World Day Against Child Labour

They have no Choice
They are  Helpless
They have to kill their Interests
They also want to Live
They have Dreams

They wish to Learn
They are Afraid
They Build for others
They can't Oppose
They Understand their situation
Their lives are full of Risks

According to International Labour Organization, there are an estimated 152 million children in child labour, 72 million of which are in hazardous work. This is result of people's selfish desires.
It is time to rescue children suffering from child labour. If you can't rescue, at least don't employ.
You can't change the world but you can change someone's world.

World No Tobacco Day

We are what we consume.

It is applicable to both physical and mental state. We become healthier if we maintain a balanced diet. On the other hand, we become unhealthier if we consume unwanted products. And we all know health hazards of tobacco. According to statistics of WHO, tobacco kills more than 8 million people each year.

If a common man spend 10₹ daily on tobacco, then have a look on the figures below :
1 Day      -10
1 Month -300
1 Year    -3600
10 Years-36000
20 Years- 72000
From the above calculation we conclude that a common man will spend more than 70000 in 20 years. Spend will vary from person to person. If we see it in inflation point of view then the above cost may doubles or triples.
These are the people who invest like SIP to get cancer and other health hazards. Some of them announce proudly that they can live without a meal but they  can't survive a day without tobacco. Lockdown was a tight slap who talk like this.

Lockdown Lesson

Lockdown played a key role in taking away tobacco addiction. All had to live without tobacco as there was no supply. It saved their money as well as their health recovered to some extent.

Situation is going out of our hands...

Tobacco companies are targeting teenagers. They are using small influencers to celebrities for this.
If someone narrate his painful story to show how helpless he was, he is wrong taking tobacco. It is not the solution.

I have some Ideas....

1.Think about your family and friends.
2.Is not it dangerous for your future generations ?
3.What they will learn from you ?
Above questions will work like antidote against tobacco addiction.
Further we should make instructions for our mind. We should record it and listen it before going to sleep at night. Observe the changes in you.

Share it to those whom you wish to see happy.
